The Upper and Lower Webb Lake Association has been officially assigned to maintain a scenic segment of Highway 77, stretching from Deer Lake/Bear Lake Roads to Namekagon Road. This assignment comes through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Adopt-a-Highway program, a partnership that empowers community groups to keep state roadways clean and well-maintained.
Program Details and Support
The DOT is currently preparing a sign that will officially designate the Webb Lake Association as the responsible steward for this highway corridor. As long as the association continues its cleanup efforts, the sign will remain in place—a visible sign of the group’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
The partnership comes with support from the state. The DOT provides:
- Trash collection bags
- Bright yellow safety vests for crew members
- “People Working” signs to alert passing motorists
- Pickup and disposal of filled bags
