Scott and his wife Debbie purchased their first cabin on Webb Lake in 1998, where he created countless lifelong memories with his family, including his five boys, as well as extended family and friends. His collection of broken toy parts was a fun way to remind everyone of the fun they had here. His love for Webb Lake and the surrounding community led him to make it basically his full-time home 20 years ago.

With his passion for the lake, his “always need to know” personality, and his desire to preserve Webb Lake for generations to come, Scott became an active member of the Upper and Lower Webb Lake Association (ULWLA) more than 20 years ago. After retirement, he joined the board and went on to serve as its long-time President.

Scott played a vital role in protecting and improving the health of Webb Lake. His efforts included implementing boat launch robots, advocating for an Aquatic Plant Management (APM) study to prevent invasive species, supporting Walleye for Webb, and working closely with local government and the DNR to ensure Webb Lake remains the special place it is today.

Beyond his leadership, Scott was deeply involved in the community. He formed lasting friendships, knew every local business and service, and could affectionately be known as a walking Yellow Pages.

The greatest tribute you can offer is the gift of life. In Scott’s memory, please consider donating blood at your local blood bank.

Scott leaves behind a lasting impact on Webb Lake and will be deeply missed by his extended lake family and all who knew him.
